Depending on your device, the app asks for the following permission. Android asks for your approval before access is granted, and you can withdraw it at any time in your device settings, in which case some features may stop working.
Storage permission
Lets the app read and save files in your device's shared storage, for example to load or save images and stickers.
5Notifications, identifiers and profiling
Push notifications
The app may send you push notifications. You can turn them off at any time in your device's notification settings; some features may then work differently.
Location-based notifications
The app may use your approximate geographic location to send you notifications that are relevant to where you are, for the purposes described in this policy. You can disable notifications, or location access, in your device settings.
Device identifier
The app may store a unique identifier for your device, used for analytics or to remember your preferences.
Profiling
We and our partners may use the data described above to build or update a profile of your use of the app, in order to understand your preferences and behavior for the purposes described in this policy (for example to personalize ads). No decision producing legal effects, or similarly significant effects, is taken about you solely on the basis of automated processing. You can object to profiling at any time (see “Your rights”).
6Your advertising choices
In addition to the opt-out options offered by each advertising partner listed above, you can:
reset your advertising ID, or ask apps not to use it for personalized ads, in your Android settings (usually under Settings › Google › Ads or Settings › Privacy › Ads, depending on your device);
manage interest-based advertising from many companies at once on youronlinechoices.eu (Europe) or with the Digital Advertising Alliance's AppChoices app.
Opting out does not remove ads; it means the ads you see will be less tailored to your interests.
7Trackers
The app and the services it uses rely on Trackers: technologies such as advertising IDs, SDK identifiers and data stored on your device, which work in a similar way to browser cookies. They are used for the purposes described above: running the app, measuring audience, monitoring stability and, where applicable, advertising. Where the law requires your consent for these technologies, they are used on that basis, and you can withdraw your consent at any time through your device settings (see “Your advertising choices”) or by contacting us.
8Legal bases for processing
We process personal data only when one of the following applies:
Consent: you have agreed to the processing for one or more specific purposes;
Contract: the processing is needed to provide the app or to take steps you have asked for;
Legal obligation: the processing is required by law;
Legitimate interests: the processing is needed for our legitimate interests or those of a third party, such as keeping the app secure and working properly, without overriding your rights.
If you would like to know which legal basis applies to a particular processing activity, contact us.
9Where your data is processed
Data is processed at our offices in France and wherever the service providers involved in the processing are located. For the services used by this app, this means: Ireland, United States, United Kingdom, Denmark. When data is transferred outside the European Union, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, as described in each provider's privacy policy.
Data is processed using IT tools, following organizational procedures limited to the purposes described here, and protected by appropriate security measures against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Besides us, authorized staff and the service providers listed above may have access to it.
10How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected:
data processed to provide the app is kept for as long as you use it;
data processed on the basis of our legitimate interests is kept for as long as needed for those interests;
data processed on the basis of your consent is kept until you withdraw it;
data may be kept longer when the law requires it or an authority orders it.
At the end of the retention period, data is deleted. Third-party services keep data according to their own policies.
11Your rights
You have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Access your data and obtain a copy of it;
Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
Erase your data in the cases provided by law;
Restrict the processing of your data in certain cases;
Port your data: receive it in a structured, machine-readable format and have it sent to another controller where technically possible;
Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your situation, and object at any time, without giving a reason, to processing for direct marketing purposes, including profiling;
Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal;
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or the authority of the country where you live or work.
